Bary W. Hausrath is a graduate of George Mason University and the T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond.
After law school, Bary joined a small law firm where he handled a wide array of civil litigation on behalf of individual and small business clients in Virginia’s state courts. Among other types of litigation, Bary handled everything from breach of contract disputes, business torts, and public procurement cases to will contests, partition suits, and boundary and easement disputes. He also handled transactional real estate matters, drafted contracts for an assortment of matters, and provided estate planning services.
In 2012, Bary launched BaryLaw to focus on his estate planning work with LGBT individuals and same sex couples, while still doing the same variety and types of work as before.
Bary is a member of the Virginia State Bar and is licensed to practice in Virginia’s state courts.
Community service and volunteer work are part and parcel of his public life. He lives in the City of Richmond with his husband Ashe. They enjoy traveling, gardening, and enjoying Richmond with friends.
